Rubber

Rubber is an initially produced, consists of polymers of the organic compound isoprene, with minor impurities of other organic compounds.

DATA SHEET

What is properties of rubber

Rubber physical properties are often considered by clients for their own application .

Clients often pay attention to these points : hardness ; tensile strength ; tensile modulus ; elongation ; compression set ; tear resistance ; abrasion resistance ; specific gravity .

For example , about the hardness , we can supply different hardness rubber sheets ,  for soft to medium hard rubber , shore A is used .  Generally shore A 40-90 all can be done with us .  Shore A 40 feels soft , and shore A 90 feels like stone .

What does rubber mainly used for

Because of the rubber elasticity, resilience, and toughness, it is the basic constituent of the tires used in automotive vehicles, aircraft, and bicycles. More than half of all rubber produced goes into automobile tires; the rest goes into mechanical parts such as mountings, gaskets, belts, and hoses, as well as consumer products such as shoes, clothing, furniture, and toys.

Is rubber a plastic

Rubber is not plastics , it can be considered elastomers .

Although , polymer as a term that always denotes plastics , but nonetheless , this term also describes the characteristic of rubbers .  Although rubber is more of the specific elastomer ( a viscous or elastic variation of polymers ) , it is still considered to be a polymer .

But no worry , from direct view , we can easily tell which is rubber , which is plastic.

Does rubber can be recycled

Rubber can be recycled surely , the recycled rubber are used more and more common because of recycled rubber can lower down the cost of purchasing , and save energy for environment .

Why is rubber so important

For both natural and synthetic rubber ,  you will see them everywhere in our life , in different modes of transportation including cars , bikes ,trains and aircraft , etc .

Our clients are mostly from engineering industries ,  they often choose rubber material to make some sheets , blocks , machinery parts , because of its high level of wear and heat resistance .

How can rubber to be used together with plastic

We often accepted orders from clients , who request for rigid sheets with two layers , one layer is plastic UHMWPE or HDPE , another layer is rubber .  Aim to let the sheets more anti wear and can lower down some cost compare to purchase plastic sheet only .

For example , warehouse dock bumper always be 50 mm uhmwpe + 50 mm rubber thickness .  And the liners for coal , chute , hopper or silo ,  often be made with 10 mm uhmwpe + 3 mm rubber thickness .  Clients can decide to make the sheets via pressing plastic and rubber together , or press plastic sheet first then use glue to attach the rubber layer then .  Both method is available .
